Women's Groups at Saint John's Cathedral

Saint Martha's Guild

Saint Martha's Guild was organized by Dean Paul Roberts in 1936, with the purpose of creating closer relationships among women within Saint John's large congregation. Women have been meeting since then for dessert and a program at 1:00 pm on the fourth Tuesday of the month, September through April.

Daughters of the King
This international order is made up of women in Episcopal Church, the Anglican Communion and churches in relation with the Anglican Communion. Members pledge themselves to a rule of life of prayer, service, and evangelism.

Calling All Needlepointers
Needlepoint has been a tradition at Saint John's, and we are hoping to re-establish the guild. If you needlepoint and would like to be a part of the new Needlepoint Guild, please email Janet Thompson at cithompson@msn.com. Men who needlepoint are especially welcome.

Women's Retreat
Join us for time to rest, reflect and enjoy the community of Saint John’s women.
Come embrace peacefulness, engage your creative energy through contemplative art activities, share stories with friends, ask questions, seek answers and dwell in the quiet place with God. Through our exploration of the season of sowing we will take time to appreciate where we are in our lives, our sacred connectedness and the blessings of true friendship. Learn More.
