Annual Grants from Saint John's Cathedral

The Grants Committee of Saint John's Cathedral has been charged by the Vestry to make grants with Cathedral
funds to charitable organizations to further the mission and ministry of Saint John's Cathedral - to know Christ
and make Christ known. Grants are in accordance with the priorities set by the Faith in Action Commission—to
address issues around mental health, housing and homelessness, hunger, and refugees and immigrants.

The Grants Committee will accept grant proposals through our extended deadline of October 15, 2019 for one-time grants. Recent past grants range between $2,000-10,000. Completed grant applications should be submitted electronically via email to; receipt will be acknowledged by email.  Disbursements will be made by December 31, 2019.

Grant Applications from 501(c)(3) organizations should include the following:

  • Colorado Common Grant Application
  • Audited Financial Statement or Form 990
  • Please include a cover letter stating the amount you are requesting and how the funds you are requesting will be used and include answers to the following questions:

    1. How does your organization’s mission align with the priorities of the Faith in Action Commission and the mission and ministry of Saint John’s Cathedral?
    2. Is there an opportunity for an on-going relationship between the organization and SJC? If so, please describe how.
