Annual Grants from Saint John's Cathedral

The Grants Committee of Saint John's Cathedral has been charged by the Vestry to make grants with Cathedral funds to charitable organizations for the purpose of furthering the mission and ministry of Saint John's Cathedral. Grants are informed by the priorities set by the Faith in Action ministry-- currently Housing/Homeless, Hunger/Food, and Refugees/Immigrants-- and Saint John's Cathedral-- to know Christ and make Christ known. Preference will be given to specific projects-- not general operating expenses-- and to projects that engage the Saint John's Community.

The Grants Committee solicits grants through October 1 for the upcoming calendar year.  Completed grant applications should be sent via email to grants@sjcathedral.org

The Grants Committee accepts the Colorado Common Grant Application for annual grants.  We also ask that applicants also answer the question: "How does your organization’s mission and this grant align with the priorities of the Faith in Action committee and the mission and ministry of Saint John’s Cathedral?"

For more information about applying for a grant, please contact our Grants Committee at grants@sjcathedral.org

Grants Committee is Seeking New MembersThe Saint John’s Cathedral Grants Committee is looking for new members. The Grants Committee is chartered by the Vestry to make grants to organizations (using Cathedral funds) doing work that furthers the mission and ministry of Saint Johns. Each year the Grants Committee makes a public call for grant proposals. The committee then reviews those proposals and awards grants as appropriate. Members of the Grants Committee also visit grantees, review how grantees use grant funds, and evaluate programs supported by Saint Johns. The committee is also responsible for reporting on the grants made to the Vestry and the congregation.

Grants Committee members should be adult members in good standing of Saint John’s Cathedral. Ideally, they will have experience working for or with a non-profit organization or writing and evaluating grant proposals. Members of the committee should be familiar with non-profit community in the Denver metro area and have an interest in building the mission and ministry of Saint Johns through relationships with non-profit organizations operating locally, nationally, and internationally. Any questions about the roles or responsibilities of the Grants Committee ask any committee member or contact AmyWDavis@comcast.net.

Interested parties should submit their name and a paragraph about their interests, skills and background to Michelle@sjcathedral.org by April 30th.
