The mission of Saint John's Cathedral is to know Christ and to make Christ known. All our ministry is devoted to sharing Christ with others and finding Christ in them.

The Right Reverend Kym Lucas is the Bishop of Colorado, the spiritual leader of the Episcopal Church in Colorado. Saint John's Cathedral is the church in which the bishop's ceremonial seat, which is called a cathedra, is placed. We are, therefore, the symbolic mother church of our Colorado Episcopal family.

The clergy compose the Cathedral Chapter. They share in leading worship, preaching, teaching, and caring for our congregation. In addition to the clergy, our staff includes a highly-committed group of lay professionals and support staff.

The Vestry is the principal congregational leadership team at the Cathedral. The Vestry is our governing board. Members of the Vestry welcome your comments and suggestions.
20 Clergy

The ministry of a bishop is to represent Christ and his Church, particularly as apostle, chief priest and pastor of a diocese; to guard the faith, unity and discipline of the whole Church; to proclaim the Word of God; to act in Christ’s name for the reconciliation of the world and the building up of the Church; and to ordain others to continue Christ’s ministry.
