RITE-eous 13ers ~ 6, 7, 8th Grade Youth Group

Sunday mornings from 10:15 - 11:15 and at other times for fun and service.
Boy, is this group changing! We are relaunching the RITE-eous 13ers to be a bigger and more dynamic group. This group will start the two year program in the Fall of 2008 with a goal of a Mission trip in 2010, with a lot of finding out who we are along the way. Join us as we make the next step in our journey!
Our hopes and dreams for these young people is to help them on their path to adulthood by giving them a loving, fun community and by working together to gain the skills they will need to become the whole, healthy, loving adults that God hopes for each of them. Parents are asked to be a support in a variety of ways, especially to help by getting their youth here on Sundays. In addition to our Sunday morning time, there will be a variety of fun and service projects at other times. We try to be flexible about the schedule to meet the needs of the youth and to pay attention to what they most need and want.

For youth in 9th - 12th grades, Room 300
Meetings on Sundays (10:15 - 11:15 am) and at other times as we plan together.
This year, we have a whole new program for our high school youth, built on the premise that the adults who care about them need to help them gain the skills they will need as they leave us and go to college, rent an apartment, get a job. Practical skills, like:
-How do you cook a decent meal in your dorm?
-How do you stay out of trouble with credit cards?
-How do you find friends?
-What do you do when you are so stressed out you can’t function anymore?
We’ll relate these topics to our spiritual lives, too, and we hope to show our youth that there is wisdom and real help for them in this thing we call ’faith.’
Since their schedules are so booked, we’re building CONFIRMATION PREP right into the group. Once each month, we’ll present a topic and engage in some real conversation about what we believe, what we don’t, and how the spiritual life truly is a faith ’JOURNEY.’
