Project Angel Heart has delivered more than 3 million nutritious meals to a community of clients battling disease since 1991. In 2010, more than 368 weekly volunteers provided time, talent and resources to assist in providing nourishment needed to improve the quality of life, at no cost, for those coping with a life threatening illness. It is the only agency providing this kind of service in our metropolitan area. There are many opportunities for participation by St. John's parishioners. They provide a volunteer orientation and are very flexible on the time commitment of participants. In 2010, the program delivered nearly 30,000 meals to 135 Capitol Hill residents. Project Angel Heart is moving to a new location at 4950 Washington Street in January, 2012.
