Youth
Grades 6 - 12

We provide a caring, peaceful, justice-seeking and fun community in which youth can engage their faith in relevant ways.  After the 9:00 a.m. service, all youth gather in room 300 for refreshments and some play time.  Pool or ping pong, air hockey or cards, this is a time for laughter and fun.  Then they gather for consideration of a topic, and separate into middle and high school groups (in rooms 208 & 209) for deeper conversation relevant to their age group.  We encourage questions and conversation in a trusting atmosphere, and will intersperse the year with a variety of spiritual practices.  Youth Registration & Release Form >

Mission Trips for Youth:
June 9-15, 2012:  High School Mission Trip to New Orleans, LA

July 16-20:  Middle School Mission Trip to Leadville, CO

Confirmation for High School Youth:
We work to help our young people understand that this is a journey (one that began at baptism) of being changed and living more and more in Christ. At this time when they are so engaged intellectually and often questioning everything, our work is to give them this faith as one they can take with them for their whole lives; big enough to hold their questions and engaging enough to make them want more. Please call Kim McPherson at 303.577.7729 for more information. Confirmation classes help prepare our youth (15 years +) for the decision about being confirmed at the Easter Vigil Service, April 7. Classes are Sundays from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm in room 208, beginning January 8.
 

Winter Wonderland Trip
March 2-4 at Cathedral Ridge
