Godly Play Core Training: Saturdays, October 14, November 18, & December 2

Godly Play is Montessori based model of Sunday School that helps children explore their faith through story while valuing process, openness, discovery, community, relationships, creativity, and imagination. Learning how to share sacred stories with children through Godly Play is a powerful experience that will help you engage more fully with the children in your ministry. Click here for more information about training content.

St. John's has an urgent need for Story Tellers and Door People! Please consider making this wonderful ministry apart of your ministry! We are also excited to welcome others from the larger Christian community in Colorado.

Each session will be held at St. John's Cathedral (1350 N Washington St Denver, CO 80203). The cost is $155 a session, but please reach out to the Godly Play Foundation about scholarship information if needed. Lunch and snacks will be provided by St. John's.

Sign up quickly because there are only 14 spaces! Registration for all three sessions can be found here: Sacred StoriesParables, and Liturgical Action.

Children's Ministry

Children come to us full of wonder and joy, and already knowing something about God. Our task is to nourish the seeds of God's love that have already been sown, and to help our children find ways to strengthen their relationship with God throughout their lives. We do this through the stories of the Bible and our Church, by encouraging their wonder and helping them discover their deep joy, by welcoming them fully into the Saint John's community, and by involving them in all that we do. Our children are full members of Saint John's Cathedral, and we cherish their presence here.

Youth Ministry

The goal of our youth program is to build a safe, supportive faith community that is centered on God and encourages youth to be their unique and God-made selves. This year Middle School Youth Group is focusing on how our special relationship with God, as God's children, help us engage communities and relationships in our lives. High School Youth Group will be building community through various service projects, including serving a meal at the Women's Homelessness Initiative and decorating the St. Francis Apartments for Christmas. Our youth are also ushers, acolytes, vergers, and children's chapel leaders. They participate in mission trips, retreats and our Cathedral Camp while forming relationships that can last a lifetime.
